Criminal Law

Justine Fisher is the Director and Principal of Fisher Legal with more than 32 years of experience as a Barrister and Solicitor. Justine has chosen to practice exclusively in the area of criminal defence. Her passion is criminal defence.

Justine's experience is extensive.

Over 32 years she has represented accused persons almost exclusively in the role as lead Counsel in all jurisdictions - District and Supreme Courts as well as summary jurisdictions.

Justine has appeared as lead Counsel in respect of many significant trials - jury trials and otherwise. She has successfully defended murder, manslaughter, importation cases, large scale drug prosecutions, sexual assault cases (historical and otherwise), cases involving allegations of violence, serious road traffic accidents involving death and otherwise,  multiple charge and offender cases, cases involving high profile attention - all the way through to confiscation proceedings, contested restraining order proceedings and all manner of defended prosecutions.

Although Justine retains her role as Solicitor, she practices primarily in her role as a Barrister. This enables her to follow the team handling of your defence closely from the beginning all the way through to your trial - should a trial be necessary.

Justine established the firm in 1994. She did so as a result of her desire to exclusively dedicate her experience to this area of law. Expanding her team has enabled us to offer a more comprehensive and seamless defence.

In terms of her academic background, Justine has a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia. She was admitted as a practitioner to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1989 since then dedicating her experience to defence.

Although Justine is tough, experienced and tenacious in the Court environment, she is committed to providing a compassionate service to her clients. She has an excellent track record with her loyal clientele being indicative of her commitment to defence continually demonstrated over the last 32 years.
